In the showroom of Tokyo Gas lifeval, Woodpecker non-combustible ceiling NEO was adopted for the ceiling and Wild solid direct stick oak for the floor. In each case, four types of Custom-made color painting were applied to Oak with knots, creating a unified space on the ceiling and floor.

Space design with a sense of unity between ceiling and floor realized in Custom-made color in four colors

In this showroom space, the same four types of Custom-made color were adopted for ceiling materials and floor materials. Utilizing natural expressions such as knots and bark pockets by Oak materials, multiple colors are randomly arranged to create rhythm and depth in a large space that tends to be monotonous.

Selection point for ceiling materials: Combining non-combustible performance with natural wood texture

In showrooms and commercial facilities, interior restrictions are often imposed by the Building Standards Law, and materials that can be used for ceilings and walls are limited. Woodpecker non-combustible ceiling NEO uses natural wood veneers on the surface while obtaining non-combustible certification, so it is possible to incorporate the texture of real wood that cannot be obtained with wood-like sheets into the interior.

Despite the thin design of 6.2mm thickness, the long size of 1820mm is realized, enabling a dynamic finish with few seams. In addition, the ability to adjust the colors according to the spatial concept by Custom-made color is also an element that enhances the freedom of design.

Selection point for floors: Balancing the texture and workability of Solid wood

"Wild solid direct stick oak", which has been adopted for flooring, has the warmth and texture unique to Solid wood, can be applied directly to the mortar. Unlike the general nailing method of Natural wood flooring, it can be done with only adhesives, so it can be expected to shorten the construction period and reduce construction costs. This high level of workability is a major advantage in sites that require construction in limited construction periods, such as commercial facilities and showrooms.

In addition, by applying scratches on the surface, it creates a vintage feel like it has been used. Although it is a new building, it gives the space a calm atmosphere. The oil-like mat finish reduces the reflection of light, which contributes to the creation of a high-quality and calm space.

Using the same material for the ceiling and floor, a sense of unity in space

In this case, we use four custom-made colors for both ceiling and flooring, creating harmony and rhythm throughout the space through random placement. By sharing the same color between the ceiling and the floor, the movement of the gaze becomes smooth, creating a sense of unity in the space.

The Woodpecker non-combustible series has more than 100 different design variations, and can be customized for tree species, finishing and processing.
